Well-known member. This by no means answers all your questions, but this is my opinion on the wood versus plastic debate. Plastic is easy to maintain and strong. Also it looks good on a battle rifle like an AR and its cheap. Made FDI, Indian which seems to be the same manufacturer or atleast related to SDI that makes the 5.56 that DSA and others were selling. Decent price at $.66 a round but probably closer to $.70 after shipping still not too bad.The Austrian Stoll device on the STG is a flash suppressor, wire cutter, and it supposedly dampens vibrations. STG's are known to be the most accurate FAL's. The plastic handguards are probably replacements, but otherwise the rifle looks complete. The DS receiver was probably made by LMT and is desirable itself.Note the dimensions are in inches, so multiply them by 25.4 to get mm. My measurements were also not taken without the greatest of precision just as a warning. With zoom on a PC, it does look like a railed top cover. Flash hider and front sight look correct from my limited knowledge, but it looks like no sand cuts on the bolt carrier. Could be the picture quality though. It may have a FAL bolt to go with Imbel receiver if you are correct about that.
