Hey there! I've been thinking about the new Lightning Conduit spell for the past few days, I find it really interesting and kind of wanted to try and make it work, especially with Voltaxic Rift. I've been asking around and have had some really good discussions with members of this community that have clarified quite a few things.The majority of Lightning Conduit's damage comes from the "damage with hits against shocked enemies" modifier and this is hit-only. Without this modifier it does something like 72% less damage. If you want to make a lightning spell ignite build something like Arc or WoC will actually do more damage.Need help to create a spellslinger lightning conduit build. It’s an acquired taste of a build, due to the playstyle, but many people enjoy it, and you can get some insane damage if you spec properly into it. Since all your shocks are minimum 18%, you don't need to scale shock as if dealing more damage or w/e, you just need to land the smallest shock possible. There's an easy ~150-200% shock effect on the tree without even trying. Use brand + desecrate + vd. You won't really need echo with corpse pack tho. Throw Ball Lightning on a totem to cast independently of your Lightning Conduit. It probably won't be the highest potential DPS, but it should hit frequently enough to have most of your Spell Echo casts actually hit a shocked target. Lighting Conduit in a 4L (pseudo-5L with Thunderfist). 5L Doryani for Orb Of Storms with culling and quality of life. Hydrosphere to apply exposure on bosses. Before that, I was doing 3m DPS on a 6L rare so it's was a much needed upgrade.
