Here we are, stuck in Los Angeles with a Toyota Prius displaying the RED TRIANGLE OF DEATH -- which spells doom for any Toyota Prius Hybrid Car -- it's WORSE...the red triangle keeps coming on with the water temp light but goes right off but no heat. Replaced the thermostat it worked for about a week. I have a obdII no codes. Took to a shop they said 12V and hybrid 49% both replaced 3.5 years ago.2004 Prius. Model: N/A. 2007 Prius Gen 2. No readable OBD2 Codes. No Green Ready dash light. No blown fuses found under dash or engine compartment. Many other dash lights are visible though VSC,ABS, Red Triangle of Doom, fuel level indication. OBDII ELM327 scanner showed the HV batteries were charging at same level, 16.8V and Aux battery was registering at 14.0 Volts. The next morning, after 20 minutes of driving the Red Triangle of Death appeared, and shortly after I experienced loss of power, with sporadic engine idle and interior traction battery fan was on.
