The statewide CLMRN trunked system is highlighted in green. I scroll down and the changes in the system are for the town of Groton CT which is in New London county. The new CLMRN is a very finicky system. If you look at some of my past threads I was pulling my hair out trying to get it to work properly from my apartment. It got even worse when they switched to Phase II. In the end, it came down to a specific antenna, a custom CLMRN favorites list with certain features set up, and location of the antenna. For example, looking at the CT Land Mobile Radio Network (CLMRN) when downloaded into FreeSCAN, there are multiple groups [GRP] and what I believe are the sites [MP25]. The [GRP] contain what I understand are the different talk groups and their IDs (TGID). The [MP25] contain the site trunking frequencies. So my question.Do you have ARC250 software. They linked Wallingford's P25 site to some CLMRN sites. When one of their units (Police, Fire, Whatever) roams outside of Wallingford's coverage, they set it up to roam to CLMRN but instead of getting their native TG numbers, (Ex Police 1 TG 101) it gets assigned a random TG number in the 65,000 range by CLMRN that it talks to the CLMRN system on.Connecticut Land Mobile Radio Network (CLMRN) System Updated (Added Talkgroup to: Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (1806 Southwest CMED)) W1KNE: 2023-09-04 08:51:53: Connecticut Land Mobile Radio Network (CLMRN) System Updated (Added Talkgroup to: Quinebaug Valley (QV) (8755 QV Cross Patch to 33.80)) W1KNE: 2023-08-05 21 ...Changed Admin Date; Added Talkgroup to: Westport (25843 BOE Emergency) W1KNE: 2024-04-30 03:46:50: Changed Site # 014 (Troop I Simulcast) to 14 (Troop I Simulcast)Rebanding was done long ago in 2011. Also, changing the name of a 106 page thread about the system to fit a relatively minor change in one site does not seem like a good idea to me.Stafford Springs CT. Mar 29, 2024. #1. Hi guys just wanted to see if anyone had any feedback to give. I’ve been monitoring CLMRN for many years with numerous scanners. Uniden BCD996P2, Uniden SDS200, and a Unication G5 Pager. With the exception of the G5, I’ve tested these units out in vehicle with a PCTEL 7/800 NMO antenna on my roof.I didn't say that it did. Just that the audio would hopefully be louder. That doesn't have any impact on reception of the system though. Even among the systems there are discrepancies. Troop L is quieter than Troop A for example.
