I just recently picked up a model 100 AYA JC Higgins and could not be more pleased. I have had an AYA 106 sold by Sears for several years and really like it, but it does not compare to the 100. All your information over the years appear to be accurate as this is one sweet firearm. Mine is a 12 gauge with 26" barrels chocked Imp and Mod.

On the barrel it says: J.C. Higgins Model 20-12 GA. Sears, Roebuck and Co. 583.59. I've heard the 59 version could have be produced between 1953 and 1956 but the confusing thing is the P stamp.
