The Nova would just be plain silly looking hunting upland birds, but the main reason I don't like it is becuase it is made out of almost entire plastic and the forearm is cut wierd and it feels wierd in your hands. Really the only pro I see about this gun is that it is chambered for 3 1/2 inch magnum, but you don't need that so it's useless to you.

I've previously enjoyed great success with the Mossberg 500 and 835, Browning BPS, Benelli Nova and Stoeger P3500, as well. Similarly, I've had much success using over/unders, though fancier models with a blued steel receiver and high-grade wood are poor choices for brackish and saltwater environs—a dealbreaker for me.
