My Marlin model 55 slug gun. Happy New Year everyone, I finally took some pictures of my slug gun and I just thought that I'd share them with you. The model 55 was my very first gun, my dad gave it to me when I was 10 years old. It was the same gun as the old Marlin goose gun, except instead of a 36" full choked barrel, mine had a 26" barrel ...Marlin ~ Model 336CB ~ .38-55 Win. The Goose Gun had a 36 inch, full choked barrel. The Model 55G sold for $39.95 when it first came out. There were 12,351 of the Model 55G's made in 12 gauge. The 55G is a Glenfield version of the Marlin Model 55 Hunter.
