Bowfa is what makes raids/inferno/gwd doable without 2bil in gear so yes, it's absolutely worth it. Bowfa is the best mid game upgrade you can get. More important than anything melee or magic, other than fang. First item I always get on new accounts then I can do gwd, toa, muspah, leviathan, all great gp.

The bow is pretty decent at venenatis, I did about 270 kills with it (wear crystal top+bottom). It is also very useful for killing the vents at the abyssal sire. Its really sick using it at bandos doing 6:0 and super easy to learn. Imo it wasnt worth using at zammy and I preferred just doing melee kills.
