95 xplorer 400 idles bogs and dies. Here's the scenario. I have a 95 polaris xplorer 400 2 stroke. It won't idle for more than 5-10 sec and when I give it throttle is will bog and die. Sometimes it will backfire. Takes a while to start again, gotta help it with the starter until it starts to fire. This is what I have done to troubleshoot.

Howdy fellas. I have a 96 explorer 300 aircooled two stroke. The thermostat that brings on the fan broke. I put an override switch on fan to bring on fan manually, how ever I am having a hard time finding the switch. I am a HVAC tech I can install a adjustable thermostatic switch but not sure what temp to set it at.

There is an adjustment that can be made to regulate the amount of injected oil. When I bought my 2000 Xplorer 400, I had the dealer adjust it so it gets a little more oil than is called for in the service manual. After 10 minutes or so of riding, my machine smokes more than it should, too. Starter should be directly underneath atv. Follow the wire leaving your solenoid which is the box you hear clicking when you try and start it. There are 2 large terminals on that. Solenoid. One has the wire that goes directly from battery to it, then the other terminal has a wire going directly to starter.xplorer 300 charging problems.
