I think the series S is just having trouble rendering the entire game twice for split screen and it’s as simple as that. The game would probably be coming out on Xbox if there wasn’t a parity clause forced on the industry by MS. They could drop the full version on the series x, and add split screen to the series S via a patch in the future.
