Yes, I feel I have had some experience with semi-auto guns. I also have a Ruger SR9 (which I think has a stronger recoil spring than the SR9c) and a Ruger LCP (which I replaced the 9# recoil springs with 11# recoil springs). Sent it in to Ruger and got it back a week later with a new trigger, springs, etc. Take it to the range the second time and it shoots great. A nice gun to shoot. Problem again. A new problem on a brand new gun. Now it's the slide. With the slide locked back, load a mag into the well, the slide releases and loads the chamber all on its own.

So, I have yet to fire the gun, but when you rack the slide and put one in the chamber, it works fine. Rack it again, and the round goes to eject, but gets jammed at an angle and takes a good bit of work to get the round out. Either that, or the round gets stuck completely sideways in the gun. Every now and then it ejects perfectly fine.
