Go to the modify ship menu at a ship builder, go to the ship you want to copy and hold LB and X at the same time. Make a minor adjustment like color change and save. It will have copied the ship to the ship was to the left of it in your ship list. Make sure you have a second, registered ship to be turned into the copy when you start.
I just sat on the stolen Ship and got the notification few minutes later that it was now my main ship and the previous got teleported back. Pre-bug, they become inaccessible after the Starborn exit, but the ship stays on the ground no matter what. Apparently, these things were supposed to fly off after dropping off Starborn. The mod fixed this for me, and it is quite something to watch a Starborn ship come down, drop Starborn off, then fly off at high speed.

I encountered a bug where my ship when flying in orbit was transparent and the engines/shields/turrets and additional details were invisible. Has anyone encountered this? I feel like they always been with me after reload but for some reason they get teleported back to the ship somewhat recently. They only teleport back when I actually go through a loading screen door or fast travelling. I did check the "crew" and it says they're in the ship.
