Simple answer: Your maxcare is best used at a CarMax location. Even if CarMax has to sub the work out to an outside shop, it's worth it. I've worked there, in most cases it's a reasonable choice. If you are at a super high apr you may want to reconsider getting it if you have ability to afford larger repairs.
