North Allegheny is the third different school to repeat at Class 6A, joining Central Catholic (2019, 2020) and Pine-Richland (2017, 2018).

In 5A, we also have a rematch of the 2020 Championship as Peters Twp takes on Pine-Richland. Peters is the only unbeaten team in 5A and has been stifling on defense this season. While Peters is in search of their first WPIAL title in school history, Pine-Richland is the defending WPIAL and State Champions.

Peters Township (12-0), the No. 1 seed, will face No. 3 Pine-Richland (9-3) in the WPIAL Class 5A championship at noon Saturday at Norwin High School. Pine-Richland is aiming to win its sixth title in 10 years and seventh overall. Peters Township lost in its previous two trips to the final, falling to Gateway in 2019 and Pine-Richland in 2020.
